Fontainebleau Miami Beach Florida -Our Experience at this 5-Star Resort

Looking to stay at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Florida but looking for a real life review? Our Experience at this 5-Star Resort didn’t start out as a 5-Star experience. Join us in this video as we talk about the pros and cons of staying at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

We stayed at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach because I (Jacki) was attending a leadership conference for Realty ONE Group, the real estate company that I belong to as an agent and a coach/trainer. I asked Mark to join me and we made a whole Florida adventure trip out of it.

When we checked into the hotel, it seemed great at first glance. But we had issues with our room, we paid way too much for a couple of burgers, and weren’t impressed at first.

We went to the front desk to get our room issue fixed. The person we first talked to was extremely nice and understanding, but didn’t have anywhere to move us to for the night. We alos learned that there’s no housekeeping staff on at night. We found thata little odd for a hotel of that size. But since there was no staff on, there was no one who could come and clean our dirty room. So we cleaned it ourselves the best we could in order to try to get. agood night’s sleep without getting too grossed out.

In the morning, we went out exploring. We hit the gym first, and we do have great things to say about the facilities. It was well equipped, and large enough to accommodate a lot of guests. We liked that they had thought out sections and walled them off for privacy.

We then used the cruiser bikes provided by the hotel, which you get a code at checkin for 2 hours free, after that the bikes are charged hourly. We took the bikes and rode down to South Beach, grabbed breakfast, and then explored the pier.

When we returned to the hotel, we went back to the front desk to see what could be done about our room. We happened to talk to the manager Breon, and she COMPLETELY turned our experience around.

First and foremost, she was understanding and made us feel validated. Don’t you hate it when there’s something less than ideal and then when you say something you’re made to feel like it’s YOUR fault? But in this case, there was quite a bit of – um – let’s just say “DNA” left around our room. The handles of some of the drawers were sticky, and the nightstands were…well, we’ll just leave it at that for now.

At any rate, she empathized with us, and apologized. Then she asked what type of room we would like….an ocean view? A bigger room?

I didn’t want to be greedy and say “both,” but she said, “This is your moment….ask for whatever you’d like!” So I answered, “In that case, yes please – an ocean view and a bigger room!”

She called for a glass of champagne for me, and just went over the top to make me feel valued as a guest. Seriously, WAY more than was necessary, but SO appreciated!! It truly set the tone for the remaining 3 nights we spent there.

We take you on a bit of a tour of the hotel, show you 2 different room types, and see our bike adventure to South Beach along with our review of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Thanks for join us!
