Experiencing Pensacola Florida

Next Stop: Pensacola Florida – Join us as we experience it for the first time! Mark and I took our adult kids Mattison and Sophia, and Sophia’s (now ex) boyfriend to Pensacola, FL for a very special reason. I have an aunt and uncle who have lived there for a long time, and I haven’t seen them since before Mattison was born! How does time get by that fast? 

I was close to them when I was growing up in the Chicago area. But then my dad was transferred to Phoenix, AZ when I was 15 years old. Shortly after that, my Aunt and Uncle moved to Pensacola, FL. So we drifted apart. 

I’ve had them on my heart to go see for a few years. Actually started thinking about it right before Covid hit. So for Christmas, I decided to take the family on a vacation to go meet them. After all, they’ve never met my kids or my husband in person! 

So off we went. Of course, I planned it a while ago. Never expected that Pensacola FL would hit record cold temperatures the week we were there! 

But at least we had a great place to stay, a gorgeous view, and family to catch up with!
