Converting a Backyard Shed into a Home Office

Here’s a look at how we went about converting a shed to an office. We needed extra space at our vacation home in Rockport, TX, so we converted a backyard shed into Jacki’s home office. Since this is our home-away-from-home, Jacki needed a place to work. The house itself didn’t have a space that would work since we wanted to capitalize on using all 3 bedrooms for sleeping to make it more appealing for our guests when the house is rented out. 

But this shed was the perfect fit! We got started right away, with the goal to get it complete while we still had time to actually use it before we left to go back home to Flagstaff, AZ. 

We’re not HUGE do-it-yourselfers, but we did enjoy getting most of the demo done and picking out our finishes.
